Laraib Shaikh is a wife and a mother, whose primary focus is the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of her family. She has a keen interest in studying the impacts of positive home environment on children’s brain development and how it can help them grow into emotionally strong individuals. She is passionate about developing resources that target and promote healthy family dynamics.

This unique combination of engineering, social science and business gave her an insight the broader perspective on societal issues and the need to tackle them. To fulfil her passion and serve societal causes, Laraib worked with her team at ICNA Relief Canada to address and respond to the diverse challenges faced by vulnerable Muslim communities across the world. In 2020, when the idea of Guided Roots was proposed, she was thrilled to be part of the dream of building a community where family is a safe-space for all.
